THERAPY SERVICES

Therapy services can take many forms. Careful assessment of the specific issues will allow us to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for you.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Individual psychotherapy provides you with strategies to cope with your most pressing problems in a timely way while also helping you tackle longer term issues. This approach aims to create long-lasting improvement by teaching you techniques to manage existing issues and the ability to navigate future challenges on your own. We will work with you to recognize and incorporate existing strengths, while learning coping skills to overcome new and old challenges and have a more meaningful and successful life.

FAMILY THERAPY

Symptoms can impact not only the person experiencing them but their family members too. In family therapy, we will teach family members how to respond to and deal with the family member or child who is  experiencing anxiety, OCD, or autism. Family therapy is collaborative and focuses on skills building and communication. We emphasize education and understanding in family therapy and coach family members on how best to respond to anxiety, OCD or autism related behaviors. Family therapy can be done in addition to individual therapy or alone.  At times, family therapy is an effective first step when the person who is experiencing symptoms is not yet ready to engage in treatment. Family sessions can be conducted in person, by phone or virtually (through HIPAA compliant portal Zoom), or session in the home, when needed.

INTENSIVE THERAPY

We provide individual outpatient intensive treatment because at times it is needed to help you achieve your goals. Intensive treatment involves daily sessions (2-6 hours) over a 2-10 day period.  Intensive therapy may incorporate family members, working with other professionals, and attending relevant groups in addition to participation in focused individual therapy with the doctor. Individualized intensive treatment is ideal if:

  • You do not have access to expert specialized care where you live

  • Your symptom severity requires intensive care

  • You have tried weekly outpatient therapy in the past but did not make sufficient progress

  • You wish to make more significant progress in a shorter period of time
